Noise in the Market

So, there I was, trying to watch the honourable Perry Christie on ZNS news and suddenly my world is shattered by a cacophony of disruptive audio abuse.
High volume, thumping, booming noise that shook my windows and rattled the items on my book shelf. Music playing at an unreasonable, unacceptable and possibly illegal volume, scaring the hell out of tourists at Sandal's and showing a disregard for fellow Bahamians and tourists who were assaulted by the unbearable noise.
It was a PLP campaign rally on wheels. And it was an unacceptable violation of the law. In the past five years, the number of laws that the PLP has broken should convince every Bahamian that the group of scofflaws known as the Progressive Liberal Party should never be given the chance to govern this nation again.
I called the police, what a joke.
The cop who answered the phone said, even they wanted to, they could not respond to the complaint because there is no car available.
No car available!?
What kind of a third world, Mickey Mouse country we running here?
No car available!? What if my home was being invaded or my neighbour lady was being raped?
Paul Farquharson should resign. The elusive police chief has promoted hundreds of officers and built a million dollar conference center, yet there isn't a car available in one of the highest density tourist areas of New Providence - Cable Beach.
That is shameful, absolutely shameful.
And why was there no car available?
Because there were police officers, in cars, escorting the rabble rousers while they paraded through the streets making noise at volumes that would wake the dead.
This is an outrage!
The police precinct is rendered impotent because the cops are out disrupting the neighbourhood, rather than being available to do their job, protecting and serving the public.
Crime is out of control here in Nassau and we wonder why?
