Practice What You Preach

Practicing what you preach is something that appears to be beyond the understanding of many Bahamians.

The Bahamian preachers who attack gay people are a good example. Many of them are so busy impregnating 13 years old girls from their choir, or fondling the little boys in their congregation, that they do not see the hypocrisy in attacking gay visitors at the cruise docks.

Then, there is Tommy Turnquest and the Foolish National Movement. Tommy (what kind of a moniker is that for an aspiring PM?) is demanding that Perry Christie, and the (some say "criminal") organisation known as the PLP, turn over the PLP bookeeping as it relates to campaign contributions.

Yet, Tommy isn't prepared to do that with the FNM's books. Isn't it outrageous for him to demand open books from the other party without opening his own party's books.

Finally, there is Perry Christie himself. Who does he think he's fooling with the house renovation financing? Mr. Christie is less than honourable when he suggests, er I mean threatens, a "forensic examination" of Mr. Harajchi's bank accounts, only because Mr. Harajchi discloses what a bunch of liars and losers the PLPs really are.

What needs to be done, and this is quite obvious, is a forensic examination of Mr. Christie's and the PLP's finances.

And the threats of deportation for foreigners demanding justice in this country are getting a little stale. The first foreign investor that gets deported for some willy-nilly political reason is the one that will bring this country to bankruptcy.

It appears that Mr. Christie may not just be a liar, he may also be a really bad liar, like Bill Clinton ("I did not have sexual relations with that woman").

Semantics Perry, semantics! You know damn well the money came from Harajchi. Whether you physically received it from Mohammed, filtered it through the PLP party or gophered it through one of your corrupt PLP friends is irrelevant. It was Harajchi's money - you know it and we all know it.

And we Bahamians do not like to be lied to.

Perry is a Bahamian lawyer, which means he's probably corrupt. But, most Bahamian lawyers are clever enough to keep just this side of the law, to avoid being prosecuted for what they really are... crooks.

Perry Christie and The "new PLP" has had their 15 minutes of fame and now it is time for them to become obscure.
